Located in the south of Portugal and occupying an area equivalent to one third of the country, Alentejo is one of the regions that has most claimed the recognition of the quality of the wines it produces. The Alentejo region is vast and varied where the view is lost in extensive plains that are only interrupted by small hills. It was the Romans who generalized the wine and vine culture in this region. This influence was so important that after more than 2,000 years we still use techniques developed by them.

The climate is very sunny allowing the perfect maturation of the grapes. It is a very dry region and temperatures are very high in summer.

The Alentejo vineyard is concentrated in the eight sub-regions of the Denomination of Origin: Reguengos, Borba, Redondo, Vidigueira, Évora, Granja-Amareleja, Portalegre and Moura.

Our wines are produced in the Borba subregion. The special microclimate of this subregion is distinguished by slightly higher than average rainfall, as well as slightly lower insolation levels than the Alentejo average, providing especially fresh and elegant wines.

The main white grape varieties: Antão Vaz, Arinto and Roupeiro.
Main red grape varieties: Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet

The Lisbon region, formerly known as Estremadura, is located northwest of Lisbon in an area of about 40 km2. The climate is temperate due to the Atlantic influence. Summers are cool and winters mild.

The cool sea breeze turns the windmills in this charming mountainous region, which comprises part of the west coast and the north of Lisbon. The proximity to the Atlantic Ocean makes it possible to produce wines that are distinguished by their minerality, freshness and complexity.

The vineyard area consists of the most traditional Portuguese grape varieties and the most famous international grape varieties.

Main white grape varieties: Arinto, Fernão Pires, Vital and Chardonnay.
Main red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Castelao, Touriga Franca.

Douro is located in the northeast of Portugal, surrounded by the Marão and Montemuro mountains. Most plantations are terraced, carved into the slopes of the valleys along the river.

The Douro vineyards create a magnificent landscape recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2001.

The wonderful scenery is combined with the excellence of the wines produced in the three sub-regions of the Douro: Baixo Corgo in the west, Cima Corgo in the center and Douro Superior in the east.

In each subregion there are slight climate changes due to altitude and sun exposure in the deep valleys. In general, the weather is rather dry and mountainous clusters offer the vineyards protection from the winds. In Baixo Corgo the air is wetter and fresher, as it still receives some Atlantic influence. In addition, rainfall is higher, helping to fertilize soils and increase yields. In Cima Corgo, the climate is Mediterranean and in the Upper Douro even desert.

Main red varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Red Dog, Tinta Roriz and Souzão.
Main white grape varieties: Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and Malvasia Fina.

It is located in the northern interior of Portugal and is distinguished by the altitude vineyards. The wines are influenced by the mountain, surrounded by the Estrela, Marofa and Malcata mountain ranges and by altitude ranging from 400 to 700 meters. The soils are mostly granitic in origin, the remainder being essentially schist.

The region's climate is very harsh, with negative winter temperatures and very hot and dry summers. This combination of factors result in white wines of great aromatic exuberance and freshness, and in the reds, wines with complex aromas of wild fruits and spices, allied to a remarkable freshness.

Main white grape varieties: Syria, Source Cal.
Main white varieties: Syria, Source Cal., Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Rufete.

Vinho Verde is the largest wine producing region in the northwest of Portugal, characterized by a cold and rainy climate.

In this region predominate the green tones of the lush vegetation typical of a region with plenty of humidity. However, the name Vinho Verde is not only due to the surrounding environment where the vineyards grow: it is in this region that a typically acidic, light, moderately alcoholic wine with excellent digestive properties is produced.

Main white grape varieties: Loureiro, Alvarinho, Avesso, Trajadura.
Main red grape varieties: Alvarelhão, Espadeiro and Vinhão.
