The Lisbon region, formerly known as Estremadura, is located northwest of Lisbon in an area of about 40 km2. The climate is temperate due to the Atlantic influence. Summers are cool and winters mild.

The cool sea breeze turns the windmills in this charming mountainous region, which comprises part of the west coast and the north of Lisbon. The proximity to the Atlantic Ocean makes it possible to produce wines that are distinguished by their minerality, freshness and complexity.

The vineyard area consists of the most traditional Portuguese grape varieties and the most famous international grape varieties.

Main white grape varieties: Arinto, Fernão Pires, Vital and Chardonnay.
Main red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Castelao, Touriga Franca.
